The Wolverine I Know And Love

Look at that.

Wolverine, stumbling home drunk, wearing a cowboy hat, and singing some stupid song to himself while smoking. Now there is a sight that I miss. Wait, we don't have a can opener for those beers, Wolverine! How we gonna fix THAT?!

Who knew Improvisation was one of Wolverine's mutant powers?

That's a great sequence, especially with Havok trying to be his big brother and act all disapproving of Wolverine being drunk, only to have Logan tell him he can't actually get drunk, what with the damn healing factor and all.

In that last panel, he's sure wasting a lot of beer though.

Let's also not forget that Logan apparently has a now-banned cigar in his mouth (or maybe even a cigarette), that's the Wolverine I know and love. What issue is that from? I know I have it, and now I'm going to have to dig it out.

Its from Uncanny Annual....11? 9? Its where they fight Horde, who is looks like a rejected villian for Excalibur. Considering its Claremont and Alan Davis, that's no surprise. Not the worst issue, but it does have Wolverine-On-Storm action, so...

they're selling a crap-ton of alan davis x-men at the comic store near my house. i can't bring myself to buy them, but i think there's some gland in my body somewhere called a "comics i used to have before i decided that i was too cool for comics and sold them all for 20 bucks and bought porn with them (true story)" bladder, which makes me drool just a bit when i'm near them.

that sentence is tor-tured. yuk. but, hey, i'm alive!

Man, I love that comic . . . yeah, it's dorky--and Horde was terrible--but I loved the ending and the (OMG SPOILERZ) regeneration from a single drop of blood.

Nothing to say about The New Warriors or even the ham acting of Peter Parker in One More Day?
