While all y'alls are too busy talking about Civil War or Hal Jordan hitting his head(nerds!), I decided to abstain from all that nonsense by rereading the first two MiracleMan trades.

Try not to be all jealous and stuff.

::Looks around::

I, um, didn't much like Miracleman.

::ducks for cover::

But we're glad you're back! (You're also back on the 2GBC sidebar, incidentally.)

Miracleman's alright, but it is pretty wildly overrated. More "shocking for its time" than "genuinely great." As an unfinished work it suffers enormously, since it essentially leaves us with a fascist utopia and doesn't have time to show us what's wrong exactly with the genetically-superior blonde-haired superman subjugating the earth, and most of what Moore says about superheroes and the problems of power were much more cogently said in Watchmen anyway.

I loved Miracleman, but are the trades still in print?

Nope. I had to pay out of the nose to get mine. There are available for download though.
